Old homepage titled Home, with a long menu and leftover template links
New Getafe haberdashery homepage, with sizes and alterations up front and buttons for WhatsApp and the catalogue
BeforeAfter
From an unfinished menu to a homepage that says what the shop sells.

Starting point

The old site was a WordPress template with an online shop. It worked, but it did not explain the business. It mixed Spanish and English and still carried sample text.

The menu had 14 items, two of them literally “(untitled)”. The homepage was titled “Home”. To know if the shop was open, you had to call.

What we did

Five sections: Home, Catalogue, Alterations, About and Contact. All in Spanish. Legal pages sit in the footer.

The homepage says what is there: comfortable clothes from size S to 3XL, and alterations in the workshop, in Getafe. From the first screen you can open WhatsApp or the catalogue.

Old online shop, with a cart and product buttons
New catalogue, with filterable garments and no cart
BeforeAfter
The catalogue is for looking. The sale closes in the shop or on WhatsApp.

The catalogue shows 48 garments, with a filter and a sort. No cart and no prices: the sale closes at the counter or on WhatsApp, which is how the shop works. The old site listed 55 products that nobody was keeping up to date.

Old repairs page, a loose block of text in the menu
New alterations section, with services and a turnaround time
BeforeAfter
Zips, eyelets, press studs and hems, with a 24 to 72 hour turnaround.

Alterations are no longer a page lost in the menu. The section lists zips, eyelets, press studs and hems, and the steps: a look at the garment, a price on the spot, the repair, and pickup in 24 to 72 hours.

An about-us text squeezed into a narrow column
The workshop's story in La Alhóndiga, with photos of the shop
BeforeAfter
More than 30 years in the neighbourhood, told with the shop in view.

About tells the workshop’s story: more than 30 years in La Alhóndiga, with photos of the shop.

A loose map on the old site, with no opening hours in view
New contact page with hours, address, phone, email and a map
BeforeAfter
Opening hours are no longer a phone call.

Contact puts the daily hours, the address, the phone, the email and the map in one place. WhatsApp, a call and directions sit in the same view.

Outcome

Someone looking for a haberdashery in Getafe can see what the shop sells and where it is on the first screen. Hours and alterations are written down, and getting in touch does not depend on finding a stray button.

Technical details

The cart and the payment gateway are gone. The footer no longer carries template links or a “Powered by WordPress” mark. It carries the shop’s details and the legal pages.

This is how the work turned out.
